If Im planing to create non-public server, then can the real owners somehow find out?
I dont want to get sued for not following copyright laws.

Downloading plugins from our website is safe. Our content is nulled, meaning the authentication in place is removed and the identification information scrubbed. I would highly doubt you or anyone else will get sued. If you want more information about that, read SpigotMCs content license agreement.
